This Sunday brings a lot of fun to the market in celebration of Valentine’s Day. In the morning, however, there are a few street closures scheduled for the LA Marathon that may prevent some from getting to the market the way they normally do.
This is particularly important for vendors who have a specific time window to get into the market in the morning. Visit the LA Marthon’s website (http://www.lamarathon.com/race-weekend/street-closures) to see specific street closures and times for your journey to the market. Vendors who come from the north will be most affected, so make sure you know how to adjust your route to get to the market on time.
The following document has all freeway ramp closures due to the race and alternate routes that can be used: Freeway-Closures-2016 For example, to gain access South of Hollywood Blvd from the 101 freeway, it is recommended that people use the Sunset Blvd. exit.
The LA Marathon website is the best resource to help you find your way to MTP. Roads and freeway exit closures blocking the way to MTP re-open just after 11AM.
February 9th kicked off the new semester’s series of Professional Development Meetings for MTP student staff at the Greenway Arts Studio Space on campus. J Scott (MTP Operations Manager) set goals for the semester with some of our hardworking student staff members.
