The photo above is of a small garden area that is a part of the market by the Men’s Restroom. Over the next year, the staff of Greenway Arts Alliance will be revamping this area into a serene garden with a series of workshops designed for the Special Education students of Fairfax High School. These students will be painting signs, revitalizing the space and designing a garden for their class to maintain throughout the year. We are pooling together resources and reaching out to the community to improve this area of the FHS campus. If you are able to contribute to the garden by donating from our Garden Wishlist below, you will be greatly appreciated!

During her time outside of school, she is constantly thinking of ways to involve art in her everyday life. “Art is more than just a hobby or a talent, it’s everything around us,” she says. She was inspired by her father, Manuel Herrera, who spent his youth drawing cartoons. Her long-term goals involve her artwork, and she hopes one day to apply her talent towards our community using mixed media.
