21 Oct MTP Fairfax Teams Up with FitFabFun for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

– CALLING ALL THE LADIES! –

This Sunday, October 26th MTP Fairfax will be supporting our friends at FabFitFun by hosting their Pop-Up Breast Cancer Screening Booth at the Fairfax Entrance of the market. Women will be encouraged to stop in their retro camper for a free screening by a qualified doctor, and to participate in the challenge by posting a photo after their exam is complete.

The women’s lifestyle website is supporting BCA (Breast Cancer Awareness) during the month of October by challenging women to perform a breast self exam (BSE), then post a photo of the FFF Challenge card with the hashtag #BCAChallenge. Participants can enter on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, or Instagram, and must tag @FabFitFun to be eligible to win an iPhone 6!

Since 40% of diagnosed breast cancers are detected by women who feel a lump in their own breast, it is vital for women to check monthly for irregularities. NationalBreastCancer.org recommends that women even in their 20s make a habit of performing breast self exams once a month.
