Did you know MTP is run by a non-profit organization called Greenway Arts Alliance?

Learn more about Greenway Arts Alliance and our programs below:

Since 1997, Greenway Arts Alliance has connected communities through performing arts, education, and local commerce. Our model funds holistic arts education in public schools through the Melrose Trading Post, a vibrant cultural hub every Sunday. Proceeds support the Greenway Institute for the Arts at Fairfax High School and Greenway Court Theatre, which showcases both emerging and established artists.

Greenways-GCT-EPS-03

Built by Fairfax High School students in 1939, Greenway Court Theatre was originally a Social Hall before sitting unused for years. In 2000, Greenway Arts Alliance transformed it into a professional theatre serving both the school and community. Today, it hosts diverse performances, from open mic poetry and student showcases to festivals and world premieres that have moved on to larger stages nationwide.

GIA-logomark

Greenway Institute for the Arts offers free in-school and after-school arts and leadership programs for Fairfax High and LAUSD students. By working with professional artists, students develop their voices and explore creative careers. They gain hands-on experience through collaborations at Greenway Court Theatre and Melrose Trading Post, fostering artistic growth and real-world connections.
