Watch the latest episode of Melrose Stories with Hedy Torres of Art By Heto!
Hedy Torres is an LA based artist who earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Cal State Northridge (go Matadors). Her artwork is focused on Los Angeles street vendors and restaurants. She was a street vendor herself, and she knows firsthand the challenges street vendors face here in LA. Her series, “Comida Rapida,” strives to evoke positive emotions about Los Angeles scenes. The vibrant scenes she paints showcase and honor the stories of the people and places who feed Angelenos. Hedy is an artist to watch out for. You can see her yellow mural in Downtown LA until March 2023, at 633 5th Street, on the US Bank tower.
