A MONTH-LONG HOLIDAY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

This December, Greenway Arts Alliance wants to bring people together to spread peace, wonderment and cheer to the community at the end of this tough year.  That’s why we’ve created Merry Melrose, a month long campaign of holiday cheer and surprises.

Each Sunday there’s a line-up of holiday surprises, discounts and giveaways, alongside 275 of LA’s favorite creative artisans & vintage dealers, delicious food & beverage options and live music. 

FIRST HOUR FREE ADMISSION

If you’re an L.A. early bird, come to the Melrose Trading Post for free during the first hour of operations. 

Starting in December, MTP’s hours are 10AM-5PM, so get to MTP between 10-11AM to receive a free admission hand stamp for all day re-entry.

Mágico Toy Drive – November 26th through December 10th

We’ve partnered with Mágico Toy Drive (run by Fairfax High School Alumna, Virginia Bulacio) as a collection location.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Melrose Trading Post, and you’ll get into the market for free all day long!

Experience an immersive outdoor holiday market like no other, including:

  • Free Professional Photo with Santa Claus from 12-3PM on December 3rd, 10th & 17th.
  • Artist Corie Mattie (AKA the L.A. Hope Dealer) will be  live-painting a canvas Peace Mural from 11AM-12PM on December 3rd. The Peace Mural will be displayed all other Sundays in December for everyone to enjoy.
  • Artist-Made Photo Opps throughout the market – Including a Mega Mirror Wall for Group Selfies!
  • Pop-Up Performances by the cast of Little Women Ballet  on December 10th and 24th
  • Typewriter Poets from the L.A. Poet Society
  • Sunday, December 24th – Christmas Eve – Holiday Fun with a Little Twist:
    • Jack & Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas will roam and take photos from 12-3PM
    • Holiday Carolers & Pop-up Performers and Surprises
  • Sunday, December 31st – New Year’s Eve – We’re open for you to spend your holiday money and get what you really wanted!
