We are excited to be a part of Netflix x CicLAvia—Melrose Ave: Stranger Things 5 on Sunday, November 23rd!
What is CicLAvia?
CicLAvia is a non-profit, car-free streets initiative that organizes events that temporarily transform city streets into public parks for the Los Angeles community to bike, skate, run, walk, scoot, dance, and play. This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public. CicLAvia is returning to Melrose Avenue (from Fairfax to Vermont) on Sunday, November 23rd from 9 am to 3 pm!
Netflix x CicLAvia—Melrose Ave: Stranger Things 5 One Last Ride will transform 4 miles of car-free open streets connecting Fairfax, Larchmont, Melrose Hill, and East Hollywood into an immersive event for the day to enjoy in your favorite people-powered way.
This year’s CicLAvia is commemorating the final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things – participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Hawkins character or monster of the Upside Down, or channel peak ‘80s vibes with neon, leg warmers, windbreakers, or any retro fit.
Here’s what MTP vendors and patrons, as well as CicLAvia participants interested in visiting MTP, can expect.
Event: 9am – 3pm
STREET CLOSURE: 6am – 5pm
NO PARKING: 1am-5pm
The CicLAvia route will be closed to car traffic from approximately 6am to 5pm, and there will be no parking on the route from 1am to 5pm that day. There will be 6 major intersections for cars to cross the route, including Melrose/La Brea. Fairfax Ave will remain fully open.
Vendor Access for Melrose Trading Post during CicLAvia

One lane of Melrose Ave will be open for Melrose Trading Post vendors to exit (turn right from the Melrose gates) for a limited period in the morning. See hours below.
Vendors should plan to arrive earlier than usual, and be aware of the following plan for entering and exiting the market in the morning:
Arrival:
Earlybird vendors will use the Fairfax Gate to enter the market. All other vendors must enter through the Genesee gate (use Rosewood to Genesee).
Please be quiet and respectful of the residential neighbors on Genesee Ave. Load-in may take longer than usual; please be patient and avoid honking.
After setup, please note the varying gate hours when exiting the Trading Post:
- Old Melrose Gate will close at 8:00am. Exit by turning right on Melrose, then right on Genesee.
- Melrose Gate will close at 8:30am. Exit by turning right on Melrose, then right on Genesee.
- Fairfax Ave gate will close at 10:00am. Turn right onto Fairfax Ave.

Customer Parking for Melrose Trading Post during CicLAvia
The Melrose Trading Post customer parking lot on Fairfax Avenue (south of Melrose) will remain accessible for the duration of the event.
