New Products in the MTP Gift Shop!

A variety of new products are available on the MTP Gift Shop page now, including the Melrose Apothecary collection, exclusive Juneteenth merchandise, and several new apparel collaborations for summer. Read on to learn more about the latest additions to our shop and what they fundraise for!
The Melrose Apothecary is a high quality collection of handmade self care goods, created in collaboration with makers from the Melrose Trading Post.
We worked with four of MTP’s local artisans to develop this brand new collection: Nena’s Organics, Asia El Artisan Body Care, Happy Goods Unlimited, and Melrose Mixology! Each vendor contributed a unique, handmade product, which will be sold separately as well as together in a limited edition deluxe box set.

Juneteenth Celebration Merchandise
On June 19, 2022, we celebrated Juneteenth with Mid City West at the market. We also developed a set of limited-edition merchandise in collaboration with several of our vendors!
Michael G. Simpson illustrated the official artwork for our Juneteenth Celebration. Michael created an exclusive t-shirt with his art, while Just A Tote and The 1 Off Project helped us transform the artwork into a tote bag for a three-way collaboration! Lastly, Michael’s artwork can be purchased as a colorful postcard.

Where does the money go?
Proceeds from these productions will fundraise for the Fairfax High School Black Student Union (BSU). Fairfax’s BSU “aims to promote the acceptance of Black culture and the voice of students.”

The Mid City West Socks are part of the Fairfax Love Collection, which fundraises for the Fairfax High School Student Activities Budget. The other two designs are part of the Melrose & Fairfax Collection, which support Greenway Arts Alliance’s arts education programs.
CROP TOPS: MTP X GRANDMA’S CLOSET
Miguel Sermeno and his family are the team behind Grandma’s Closet, a vintage shop at the market. They transformed a few of our classic Everybody.World tees into stylish crop tops! They converted some of our white and masala pocket tees into elastic cropped tees, while several of our classic winter white tees are now available as sleeveless, adjustable side-tie crop tops!
