Greenway Staff Picks – with Frankie

Meet Frankie, the LACDAC Programming & Arts Education Intern at Greenway!

Frankie is the 2025 Programming & Arts Education Intern for the Greenway Court Theatre and Greenway Institute for the Arts!   He has been at Greenway since the beginning of the summer!  His internship is made possible by the Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture (LACDAC) Arts Internship Program, which provides internships for college students at a range of nonprofit organizations around LA County.

Proceeds from your Melrose Trading Post Admission actually help fund arts education programs for Fairfax High School and LAUSD students through the Greenway Institute for the Arts, as well as productions at the Greenway Court Theatre. Frankie’s role supports both of those important branches of the Greenway ecosystem!

This is our Greenway Staff Picks Column, where staff from across the three departments of Greenway Arts Alliance – including the Melrose Trading Post staff as well as team members from Greenway Court Theatre and Greenway Institute for the Arts – highlight their favorite vendors in the market!

  1. Last Looks

Last Looks Grooming Company develops candles and self-care products with unique scents inspired by your favorite movies, founded by actor Michael Filippone.

“I’m a film minor at USC and if you know anything about USC film school, you know they love to talk about movies so it’s a great way to up your game here and make you look like a pro cinephile.”

2. Rewind Analog

Sneh Patel restores and upgrades retro digicams and video cameras, merging old and new technology for anyone passionate about nostalgic photography and videography techniques.

“I feel like digicams are really back right now – I just got one and I’m trying to look cool for all my friends. It’s a great way to get some tips and you can also look at some digicams [as gifts] for any birthdays or holidays coming up.”

3. La Poblanita

La Poblanita is the popular Mexican food truck established in 2014 that often sets up outside the Melrose Entrance on Sundays. Try their tacos, quesadillas, agua frescas, and more delicious menu items.

“It’s Hispanic Heritage Month right now and I think it’s really important to support some local Latino vendors. They have great tacos al pastor and agua frescas. I think as a fellow Dominican you always gotta support your Mexican vendors out here!”

Shop Frankie’s picks on a Sunday at Melrose Trading Post, and stay tuned for more selections from our Greenway team.
