Greenway Staff Picks: Mahagany

Greenway Staff Picks – with Mahagany

Meet Mahagany, the Social Media & Engagement Coordinator for the Melrose Trading Post.

She runs the MTP TikTok, and creates content with vendors & patrons at MTP.

Welcome to our Greenway Staff Picks Column, where staff from across the three departments of Greenway Arts Alliance – including the Melrose Trading Post staff as well as team members from Greenway Court Theatre and Greenway Institute for the Arts – highlight their favorite vendors in the market!

For our first edition, Mahagany shares three of her favorite small businesses at MTP:

  1. Melrose Mixology

The iconic pink tent in the center of the MTP food court, Jennis and Fareed’s artisanal cold brew, tea, & beverage business has been a mainstay at the market for years.

“I go there every Sunday to get my little coffee, my little drink to fuel me through the day.”

2. Nature’s Galore

With the motto “luxury you can feel,” Nature’s Galore specializes in self-care. They carry a variety of natural and affordable products for your skin and hair, as well as herbal tea and sea moss.

“I bought this giant tub of shea butter from them and I still have it. It’s probably going to last me like half my life. It’s so nice.”

Nature’s Galore boasts a variety of self-care products made from all-natural ingredients.

3. Rusty Reconstructed

Eco-conscious, high quality garments that are handmade to last, sustainably made in LA by Nikolas and Lisa.

“If I had like so much money I would shop at Rusty Reconstructed every single day… I would buy EVERYTHING that they make. It’s so beautiful, I love it.”

Nikolas poses with his brands’ signature 1-of-1 matching sets.

Shop Mahagany’s picks on a Sunday at Melrose Trading Post, and stay tuned for more selections from our Greenway team.
