On Sunday, October 5, we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in the market with special programming at the Greenway Main Stage!
To kick off a beautiful Sunday, Ajia Munns was our featured author for Eclectuals Story Time in the Garden, with her bilingual children’s book “Starlight: When Our Love Becomes More” / “Luz De Las Estrellas: Cuando Nuestro Amor Se Vuelve Más.”
We had a powerful poetry reading featuring an extraordinary lineup of poets and spoken word artists from El Martillo Press: David A. Romero, Matt Sedillo, Ceasar K. Avelar, Margaret Elysia Garcia, and Iris De Anda!
Lastly, Grupo Folklorico Mexica de CSULB returned to Melrose Trading Post for a series of performances featuring traditional dances from the various regions of Mexico! They promote culture awareness & community support through dance at CSU Long Beach.
