13 Jun Celebrate Juneteenth at MTP!
Here at Greenway Arts we are so excited to invite you to a celebratory community event we’ve been working on with the Mid City West LA Neighborhood Council.
Join us this Sunday, June 19th from 10AM to 4:30PM
Greenway Arts Alliance and The Mid City West LA Neighborhood Council are co-hosting a Juneteenth celebration at the Melrose Trading Post’s new immersive stage area.
We are celebrating Black Freedom, Resilience and Joy with music, food, poetry, art and a commemorative t-shirts and tote bags to fundraise for the Black Student Union at Fairfax High School.
Artist and wordsmith Michael G. Simpson of Writings From Michael created the celebratory artwork that we are sharing with freebies at the door (while supplies last). The artwork will also be featured in on fundraising t-shirts and hand dyed tote bags from Just a Tote, screen printed by 1OffProject. These items will raise money for the Black Student Union at Fairfax High School.
