L.A. Marathon 2024 – March 17

The McCourt Foundation’s L.A. Marathon is Sunday, March 17th.  This epic annual event takes over the streets of Los Angeles, and we want to make sure you know how to navigate the city that day… to get to MTP in the morning.

  • Date: March 17, 2024
  • Race Start Time: 7:00am
  • Time Limit: 6h30m from when last person crosses the start line
  • Start Line: Dodger Stadium
  • Finish Line: Santa Monica Blvd & Avenue of the Stars, Century City

If you’re driving to MTP from South of this route, your route should not be impacted.

If you’re driving in from North of this route, you’ll want to figure out your route in advance.

 

Impactful Notable Closures:

 

  • The Highland exit on the 101 freeway will be closed from 4:00AM to 12:00PM
  • Fairfax Avenue will be closed from Hollywood Blvd to Santa Monica Blvd from 4:00AM to 12:15PM
  • If you live near Downtown L.A., Elysian Park, Los Feliz, Silverlake and Echo Park, give yourself extra time to get around the street closures as they wrap around your neighborhood.

 

Possible Routes to MTP:

 

If you’re coming from the Mid San Fernando Valley, West San Fernando Valley or Ventura County, you can go:

Get to the 101 South to 405 South, to the 10 East, exiting Fairfax.  Head North to Melrose & MTP.

If you’re coming from East San Fernando Valley or North / East LA, you can go:

Get to the 101 South, Exit Santa Monica Blvd or Melrose and head West to Fairfax & MTP.
