The Melrose Trading Post has been a vibrant fixture of the Los Angeles community for almost 30 years, and naturally has become a place where many couples have met or come to spend their Sundays.

The market is a popular date spot, as well as home to many vendor couples who own and operate their small businesses together.

This Valentine’s, we’re celebrating all the love stories of MTP.

Fareed and Jennis are the owners of Melrose Mixology, the iconic pink cold brew, tea, & beverage stand in the MTP Food Court that has been a staple of the market since 2013!

Michael and Melissa have been MTP regulars for over 12 years. They used to often visit with their potbellied pig Mr. Meat, who is a Hollywood celebrity, and now have two beautiful daughters together. According to Michael, they “love the vibes” of the market, and often stop by for lunch at their favorite food truck, Dilan’s Caribbean Grill!

Mellow and Bree are the owners of Eternal Return, a local upcycled fashion brand. They sell at MTP together on Sundays and have previously showcased their designs on the Melrose Fashion Week Runway! You can catch their designs again in this year’s MFW Runway Show on March 22.

Marta is an OG vendor who has been selling at Melrose Trading Post with her family for nearly 30 years, since the earliest days of the market. She met her husband Bill at MTP, and they have been together now for 18 years!

Eve & Rudy Wilson are the husband-and-wife artist duo behind Praisey LA. Their oversized pop art incorporates a unique blend of faith, family, and contemporary culture and takes inspiration from comic books, cartoons, and street art. Their paintings are also on display at 7811 West Gallery as part of their BLUE CHIP$ exhibit through March 4, 2026!

Miguel & Guille are the couple at the helm of Grandma’s Closets. They strive to create reworked vintage items out of previously loved garments. Their daughter Janet is also an MTP vendor with a booth next door!

Saundra of Pink Paisleys Jewelry handcrafts and designs colorful and whimsical statement jewelry using vintage elements from the 1920s through 1990s. She and her husband Saul have been together for 22 years! You can often find them together at MTP with their sweet dog.

Takero and Chisa bring their dazzling collection of nostalgic trinkets, clothes, and treasures to MTP as Create & Tinker and have sold at the market for many years. They recently became first time parents and their daughter Shori already has a spectacular sense of style! Their pup Mugi has also previously appeared in our Annual Dog Costume Contest with memorable handmade costumes.

Michael and Esme have been vending together at MTP since 2025 with their jewelry boutique, Ritzy Couture. Their brand combines Esme’s decades of high fashion jewelry design experience and Michael’s prestigious art background into their own superpowered line of jewelry that blends playfulness and luxury.

Bryan and Jasmine are Trading Post vendors with their lifestyle brand CRANES, as well as parents to two beautiful daughters who have grown up with the market. The creative couple started their business together shortly before their oldest daughter, Silver, was born. Jasmine is also the founder of the Intermission series, which pops up at MTP on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month to provide a healing soundbath to the Los Angeles community!

Ada and Taylor are the owners of Nuzzle Pet, a pet accessory and clothing boutique. They also operate a brick and mortar shop in the DTLA Arts District, which will soon be moving to a new location, and have sponsored our Annual Dog Costume Contest every year since 2023!
