This December, Greenway Arts Alliance wants to bring people together to spread peace, wonderment and cheer to the community at the end of this year.
Each Sunday there’s a line-up of holiday surprises, discounts and giveaways, alongside 275 of LA’s favorite creative artisans & vintage dealers, delicious food & beverage options and live music.
DEC 1, 8 & 15 – FREE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS WITH SANTA from 12-3 PM!
Get your yearly portrait with Santa Claus at MTP for FREE! Santa will be in the market from 12-3 PM for the first 3 Sundays of December.
DEC 1 & 8 – FREE ADMISSION FOR DONATION
Mágico Toy Drive – December 1st & 8th
We’ve partnered again with Mágico Toy Drive (run by Fairfax High School Alumna, Virginia Bulacio) as a collection location for the first two Sundays of December. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Melrose Trading Post, and you’ll get into the market for free all day long!
DEC 8 – Merry Melrose Festive Dog Parade with Local Rescues!
We’ve partnered with some of our favorite local rescue organizations for our first ever Festive Dog Parade at Melrose Trading Post! Our partners will be bringing some adorable dogs up for adoption to join the parade. Come watch the event and meet sweet pets looking for their furever home.
Community members are also invited to participate for a chance to win big!
Dress up your dog in a holiday festive outfit and join the parade through the market!
Merry Melrose Doggie Raffle
We will have a raffle in-person on the day of the parade for two sets of prizes: (1) MTP Annual Pass and $50 prize pack sponsored by Nuzzle Pet, and (2) MTP Annual Pass and a ceramic handmade dog bowl sponsored by Terroir.
DEC 8 – Jennis Flower Foster Youth Flea Market!
Jennis Flower is a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower transition-age and former foster youth to bloom their flowers by supporting them through their personal and professional development. The Foster Youth Flea Market is a program Jennis offer to foster youth entrepreneurs, where they support them through starting or growing their business. They cover vendor and table fees and sponsor start-up costs for all of their vendors and performers at the Foster Youth Flea Market!
DEC 15 & 22 – Student Gift Wrapping Fundraiser
Upgrade your gift game at MTP with our Student Gift Wrapping Fundraiser sponsored by Target! Fairfax Students will be joining us from the AVID CLUB and FAIRFAX VISUAL ARTS MAGNET to wrap gifts purchased at the market with a donation for their clubs and organizations.
DEC 15 & 22 – Grand Arts Jazz Carolers
The Grand Arts Jazz Carolers will be joining us for performances at the Greenway Main Stage at 2 PM on December 15 & 22! They will also be roaming the market beforehand to treat patrons and vendors to some festive carols.
Experience an immersive outdoor holiday market like no other, including:
- Artist-Made Photo Opps throughout the market – Including a Flower Wall and Mega Mirror Wall for Group Selfies!
- Special Holiday-Themed Performances from Fairfax Students with Greenway Institute for the Arts
- Typewriter Poets from the L.A. Poet Society
- Loved Again Pet Rescue pop-up adoption event on 12/29.
- Lots more surprises to come!
