28 May MTP Vendors Contribute to the GCT 25 Silent Auction
This Saturday, May 31, we are celebrating Greenway Court Theatre’s 25 years of being a home to diverse creatives from around the world with a Morning Tea Event. (Tickets are now sold out, but you can learn more about the event here.)
As part of our effort to raise special funds to ensure GCT continues to be a LA institution for generations to come, we will also be holding a silent auction featuring art, experiences, and treasures donated by our amazing Melrose Trading Post vendors!
Learn more about the small business owners and artists who contributed to this year’s auction:

Karlos and Patrick with one of the Melrose-themed artworks up for grabs!
Artist Karlos Marquez is a Los Angeles Original Graffiti Artist who now creates his own “grafstract” paintings and sets up his signature gallery walls in the midst of the Melrose Trading Post. His work blends the feel of LA’s graffiti and street art with abstract and contemporary stylings. Karlos has contributed a couple of beautiful custom pieces inspired by Melrose Avenue to the auction.

Jan surrounded by lithographs in his space at the Trading Post.
Jan Verdries sells vintage posters and original lithographs of ‘60s and ‘70s art at the Trading Post every Sunday. Jan has provided us with a number of eye-catching selections from his incredible archive.

Jesse and Michelle of JM Film Resins
JM Film Resins capture literal pieces of cinema history. By preserving strips of film from your favorite movies in hardy blocks of resin, they create objects you can admire and display in your home. Event attendees can bid on a 1952 Looney Tunes resin featuring Tweety Bird!

Jennis poses with one of his iced tea creations in the Melrose Mixology booth.
Jennis and Fareed of Melrose Mixology have also contributed to this year’s auction. Up for grabs are stays at their beautiful rental homes in Palm Springs and Joshua Tree! The Melrose Mixology team also donated most of the teas and a tea dispenser for a one-of-a-kind tea flight the event attendees will get to enjoy.

Art and artifacts in Eva Meara’s shop
Paintings and antiques from longtime vendor Eva Meara’s treasure trove will also be biddable items this Saturday.

Petals and Hammers carry every purse you could imagine.
The Petals and Hammers booth at Melrose Trading Post is a dream come true for anyone who loves a quirky handbag. Tea party guests will have the opportunity to take home a one-of-a-kind bag that has an exterior design featuring colored pencils!

Eve with her ceramic creations in her booth
Two Faced Ceramics is the small business of MTP vendor Eve Palguta! She is now our neighbor too – Eve recently opened her own ceramics studio just down the street on Melrose by the Trading Post and has donated two seats to one of their ceramics classes.
