We are introducing fresh layout change at Melrose Trading Post!
We’re excited to re-introduce a redesigned version of the beautiful Purple “P” Section, which was previously part of our market map from Summer 2020 to early 2024. This region of the Fairfax High School campus is adjacent to the school’s cafeteria and is a lovely, open, shaded area also housing the school’s historic Amphitheater!
This reopened section houses 40+ stands of our local vendors and artisans, as well as an expanded dining area featuring the beloved Dilan’s Caribbean Grill food truck and Ooo La La Toffee dessert shop.
Due to new construction and improvements on the Fairfax campus, we will also be closing the Yellow “Y” Section, which was the initial strip of the market that ran parallel to Fairfax Avenue.
All of your favorite Yellow Section Vendors will now be found in the new Purple Section!

Where is the Fairfax Entrance & Ticket Booth in the new layout?
The Main Fairfax Ticket Booth will be moving to a new spot at the start of the new Purple Section. Patrons will still be able to enter MTP from the Fairfax side as they always have (at Fairfax Ave. & Clinton Ave., south of Melrose) and can also drop off their car here to enjoy free valet parking. From there, patrons will be guided within the campus to the new Ticket Booth location.

What is the Prepaid Ticket Only Entrance and who can use it?
We have also opened a new Prepaid Ticket Only Entrance for pedestrians on Fairfax Ave outside of the Blue Section of the market. This new entrance is conveniently located closer to the Melrose/Fairfax Intersection and Bus Stop and is only for patrons with Prepaid Online Tickets reserved through the MTP TicketSource or Eventbrite pages.
RESERVE ONLINE TICKETS
Patrons seeking to buy in person tickets with cash must visit the Ticket Booths at the main Melrose or Fairfax Entrances.
Where do I park my car in the new layout?
Patrons will still be able to access our Free 3 Hour Valet Customer Parking Lot at Fairfax and Clinton (right-turn only northbound on Fairfax).
Where is [insert favorite MTP vendor here]?
Vendors from the former Yellow “Y” Section have migrated to the new Purple “P” Section.
You can discover their new spot on our Searchable Vendor Map by locating their number in the old Y section, which will correspond to their present number in the P Section. For example, Y1 = P1, Y2 = P2, etc.
