The Die Hard Art Collective Returns

The Die Hard Art Collective Returns

The Die Hard Art Collective is returning to MTP with their art showcase, “Quarantine Blues” this Sunday!

The Collective will be showcasing their work in the Red Section (upper quad with the red fence) of the Melrose Trading Post this Sunday.  We’re excited to welcome back this group of artists and local university students!

Featured Die Hard Collective Artists:

ALLESA WILLIS      @allesawillis_art_studio

Allesa Willis is a Black multimedia artist whose art centers African spirituality and chakras, arguing that all bodies of life coexist on this planet.  “My art pieces manifest those messages shared between the Andinkra symbols and the chakra system system. I manifest the messages born within me as a means to challenge and remind others of what is.” She practices sustainability by using a wide variety of materials such as glitter, crystals, paints, oils, woods, textiles, metals, and other recycled items.

CRISSY ESPINO    @emptyfuneral_

Crissy Espino is a self-taught artist born and raised in San Bernadino, Ca.  “I’m a collage artist heavily influenced by horror films and the 80’s and 90’s.  The grunge scene in the 90’s also has a great influence on my collage work.  Jewelry making is another hobby I’ve picked up over the past 2 years.  My jewelry mostly consists of long chains and silver metals.  When making jewelry I’m inspired by women in the punk and goth scene of the 80’s.
